Ramatlabama farmers hit by cross border cattle rustling

The police are working around the clock to try and curb the crime with the evidence pointing the direction of South Africa.

Ramatlabama police station commander, superintendent Zibani Mbisana expressed concern over increasing stock theft cases along Botswana’s border with South Africa.

Farmers along the border have been warned about the increasing cases of stock theft as their dreams of becoming successful farmers are being dashed by cattle rustlers.

the extent of stealing the cattle at night from kraals in Botswana and we tracked them to Lehurutshe and Madute villages in South Africa. However, of recent after intensifying our patrols we managed to make a breakthrough and retrieved the stolen livestock, but the theft remains a concern,” Mbisana said.

Mbisana stated that they managed to arrest the suspects and the cases were registered with the courts in South Africa.
