A small PlayerUnknonwn Battlegrounds update and while there's no specific release date for Xbox One players, but creator Brendan Greene has said it is still on track for Late 2017 on Xbox One.
"This led to our decision on extending our partnership with Microsoft and I’m happy to announce it now includes Microsoft as the publisher for our PUBG on Xbox One.
"By partnering with Microsoft, our team believes that we will be able to accelerate console development, while maintaining quality across all platforms, as well as giving us access to vast sales, marketing and publishing resources that will help us reach new fans to welcome to the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds universe.
"We are excited to continue and further strengthen our partnership with Microsoft and are super excited to meet the Xbox community. We will be launching exclusively on Xbox One in the Xbox Game Preview program later this year and we can’t wait to see all the Xbox fans on the battlefield."
Some initial teasers to kick things off. We've been promised SEVEN world premiere trailers over the course of the show.
In addition, the Creative Director for PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds will be making an appearance on the show, so who knows we could get a release date for the Xbox One version of the game.
The first of the exclusive trailers has also just this second dropped and it's for Ubisoft's impressive looking Assassin's Creed Origins.
If you missed the trailer, then stay tuned for that YouTube link the second it drops.
Microsoft's Xbox Gamescom press conference is underway. Stay tuned for all the big games and console reveals as they're announced!
Another very interesting development as we approach the official Xbox press event.
It's been discovered that a German video game retailer has listed a new Xbox One game called “Codename Hollywood”.
That said, we can think of no better place to announce the new game than during the Gamescom showcase.
We're less than 90 minutes away from Microsoft's big E3 2017 press event, where many expect some big Xbox One X reveals.
As a reminder, the action gets underway at around 8pm BST tonight, which for the sake of other time zones is 9:00pm CEST / 3:00pm EST / 12:00pm PDT.
This Gamescom event could unveil some new games, more details about Xbox Original Backwards compatibility and (fingers crossed) pre-order details for the console.
For those not in attendance, you can tune in online with Microsoft hosting a stream on Mixer, as well as Twitch and YouTube.
“This year’s show will be hosted by Graeme Boyd (aka @AceyBongos), Xbox Germany’s Maxi Graeff (@GMaxee), and Julia Hardy (@itsJuliaHardy)," explained Microsoft before the event.
“They’ll have news to share, games to show off, will sit down to talk with developers from fan favourite studios and play some of the year’s hottest games yet to be released.
Trusted Tech website Wired have also seemingly 'Leaked' a high-quality image of the new Project Scorpio edition of the Xbox One X, which is about as clear an indication of a special day one edition for the new powerful console.
