KFC now has its own smartphone

Global fast food chain KFC has partnered with Huawei to release a limited edition smartphone commemorating 30 years since it first opened in China.

The device, which comes in KFC’s trademark red colour, has a picture of Colonel Sanders embossed on the back.

The phone also comes with a KFC-branded music app pre-installed, which lets users create and share playlists at a KFC restaurant in addition to 100,000 K-dollars, the restaurant’s digital currency.

In terms of specs, the KFC edition Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen powered by a Snapdragon 425 processor and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with an option of up to 128GB of expandable memory. The phone has a 3,020mAh battery and features a fingerprint scanner.

Huawei and KFC will only release 5,000 of these devices and they’ll be available for 1,099 yuan ($162).
